John Kung is a Hong Kong born, Australia raised photographer based in Sydney. He graduated in 2003 with a B.Design(VisComm), majoring in Graphic and Interactive design, and worked for a time as a freelance designer.
Itchy feet and a thirst for change took John to Japan, where he lived and worked for two years in Hiroshima, in western Japan. It was here where he rekindled his passion for photography (as a child he was allowed his father's camera and a roll of film on special family outings), it seemed that everywhere you go, in every nook and cranny there was an interesting photographic moment. It was also here where John found his wife, a photographer turned writer and editor, who has now become an indispensable part of his life and a tireless editor, collaborator, sounding board (and ruthless critic) of his work.
